Apollo 1

The actual Apollo 1 capsule is stored in a secured and environmentally controlled storage facility at the NASA Langley facility. However, at the Apollo-Saturn Visitor Center at Kennedy Space Center, the capsule hatch is displayed in the Ad Astra Per Aspera - A Rough Road Leads to the Stars exhibit. The hatch is shown along with memorabilia from each of the three astronaut, who tragically lost their lives. Also shown are some of the artifacts from that fateful day.
